Guest Stevie
Walcott dropped tonight, and so he should be. This Adam Johnson of Boro is tremendous, I'd like him here, he's his replacement. Spain's best player Diego Capel is on the bench, should be a good game though, vital we do not lose, come on England.
Tom 14013
I'm watching Egypt vs Italy. If you squint, the 'EGY' in the scorebox almost looks like England. COME ON ENGLAND!

acrossthepond 878
Shock win for Egypt if there ever was one and they should routinely beat the USA on this kind of form and progress on. 4th assist of the tournament for Aboutrika as well.

I'm sure the ancestors of Boateng, Khedira, Castro, Ben-Hatira, Özil, Aogo or Dejagah did it (just after invading Marin's native home Poland)... Germany have some talented players, but have no decent striker in the team. In the end we were lucky to get through. Though that's how we normally win tournaments... That was England U21 RESERVES, I wouldn't think the German commentary mentioned that. Still they should've won the game, dominated the first half and the latter stages, Jack Rodwell looked immense. The only German player who looks like he could be Premiership quality was that "Ozil". Edited June 23, 2009 by Stevie
smoggeordie 0
TBF we battered Spain (who are miles better than the krauts) with our strongest XI. Deservedly went through as group winners IMO.

You probably should just stop thinking at all because it was mentioned repeatedly to highlight how poor Germany's performance was. Though, that is probably the difference of mentality - not to believe the own hype...
The Fish 10951
I was impressed with Ozil (can't find the doohickey that goes atop the O) and Smeltzer (if for no other reason than his name sounds amusing when said in Üter's accent).
