ryanward 0
Reports from Portugal suggest that Sporting Lisbon have rejected another bid from Bolton for midfielder Miguel Veloso. Newcastle are also believed to be showing interest, but a deadline of 5pm today has been set for any further offers to be received.

Guest alex
so its 5 pm today because the portuguese transfer window shuts? i dont get this. I think the deadline is the same in all Uefa countries - i.e. Monday @ 5pm. (I'd assumed it was midnight but apparently it's 5 pm). It's been extended until the 2nd as the 31st is a Saturday and the day after is a Sunday, i.e. when most teams are playing across Europe.
Acid 0
so its 5 pm today because the portuguese transfer window shuts? i dont get this. I think its 5pm on Monday regarding Premier Leauge clubs. Portugese; not sure, I think we have to make a bid before the 5pm deadline today. Not sure if thats the Portugese Leauge or just Sporting's wish.
