Geordie Boyo 24
My DVD player only allows me to play DVD's in region 2 at the moment. It's just a 2600 Yamara, but since I do own a region 1 dvd I was just wondering if there were some way in possibly making an adjustment so I can play it? I have heard that people do this all the time but wouldn't have the first idea so I was just wondering if any of you lot could tell me how I go about doing this? Thankya! Purchased off play.com http://play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=E...g=342&pa=genbrw Edited October 21, 2005 by Geordie Boyo
Lou 0
There was a website my dad found out about where you just look up your make of DVD player and it gives you the code to crack it so that it becomes all regions. Worked a treat on ours. I'll get in touch and see if he can remember what that site was. Someone else might know what I'm talking about though...?? Geordiesned 0
Just do a google search for "dvd hacks". That's what I did, found my model on a website and the code was listed. Easy peasy lemon squeazy. I don't buy any region 2 DVD's now; I get them all from America and Asia which are much cheaper.

I might be wrong but I think I remember reading somewhere that the Panasonic ones are the most difficult to hack. I think I got the code for mine from the forum on this site: http://www.digitalfaq.com/

Craig 6682
You sure it's not the Yamada 2600 Boyo?? If so, the multi-region hack is as follows: 1. Press the eject button 2. Type in: 2 8 1 2 on the remote control and the factory default region code will be displayed on the screen. 3. Change the region code by pressing the play button on the remote control. Region 9 is the region free (multi-region) area - this will allow you to play any region DVDs in your player. 4. Press the setup button and the changes will be saved. Found it here: http://www.lcd-tv-reviews.co.uk/Operation/...20DVD%20Player/

Apparently one will work, the other won't depending on your machine's chipset. Simply give one a bash and if it doesn't work, try the other... Geordie Boyo 24
Been searching the web for hacking a Hitachi DVP 325E DVD player, but can't seem to find one anywhere. I've purchased & downloaded the link that gol provided but it states that the code is not yet available when in fact on it's main page in that list the dvd player is there the bastards!
