snakehips 0
We're on a poor run of form. We're thin on numbers. Confidence is at an all time low. Many of our first choice team are unavailable. The whole club is a shambles. The fans are at a low ebb. NOW, is the time for the players to rally and show us what they can do. I stated a couple of weeks ago that I thought we wouldn't win another point this season, but things are so bad for us right now that the team could surprise us all and 'do' these low-life hicks on Sunday; after all, this is Newcastle United. Bombadil 0
Would it be an anti-climax if this shower of shit stayed up? I mean, lets face it we have absolutely FUCK ALL to look forward to with this mob. We're going to lose any of our decent players, it's openly admitted we're buying no-one of any worth, and what kind of desperate lunatic is going to come anyways/Lovenkrands. The football is dire, the morale spent, fans apathetic, our manager is Terry Fuckwit, Dennis Wise works for us man. DENNIS FUCKING WISE! Our owner has -£200 million to live on. Our MD won't speak to us, our longest running servant is jumping ship and we have a whole team in the injury room. Rip it up and start again. tbh if we go down i don't think we'll get back up again We're not Leeds, Sheff Wed or Forest mate. We'd be the biggest player who has been that league since 1993, personally if the worst comes to the worst, I think we should get rid of every play in our squad on wages over 20k a week, and purely invest in young hungry talent from across Europe, who will be quality in a few years, like Kadar, Zamblera etc..added with old hardened campaigners which is what the Championship needs, who feel it's a priveledge to play for Newcastle. We don't want cunts like N'Zogbia, who isn't fit to wear our socks let alone our shirt with his utter contempt towards us. I don't care what anyone says, we should be 10 times the club Aston Villa are, but MON has made them feel playing for Villa is something special none of them are screaming to be away and that is despite living in a shithole like Birmingham. It's down to the British core of players, and they are all hungry. We've had a core of British players for years now. It's been a major part of our on-field problems. Park Life 71
Of course now we are truly in what Parky calls, 'The Zone'. Time wraps in on itself, the mind loses the sense of colour and distance, like a wounded beast we flail and rage against the tide..Only instinct and adrenalin can save us. Guest alex
So, anyway, I expect a team something along the lines of: Harper Edgar Taylor Bassong Enrique Lovenkrands Butt Coloccini Jonas Carroll Duff with Martins and Smith probably on the bench. Not that bad tbh. They're certainly no better. I just hope we can cope with Jones.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand. The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi Troubles my sight: a waste of desert sand; A shape with lion body and the head of a man, A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun, Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it Wind shadows of the indignant desert birds. The darkness drops again but now I know That twenty centuries of stony sleep Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle, And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born? Revvin' up your engine Listen to her howlin' roar Metal under tension Beggin' you to touch and go Highway to the Danger Zone Ride into the Danger Zone Headin' into twilight Spreadin' out her wings tonight She got you jumpin' off the track And shovin' into overdrive Highway to the Danger Zone I'll take you Right into the Danger Zone You'll never say hello to you Until you get it on the red line overload You'll never know what you can do Until you get it up as high as you can go Out along the edges Always where I burn to be The further on the edge The hotter the intensity Highway to the Danger Zone Gonna take you Right into the Danger Zone Highway to the Danger Zone

Guest alex
Didn't the players have a nip of scotch under Cloughie if things were bad at half time? I think Big Ron was an advocate of a nip of brandy or whisky before a big match. You might be right though about Cloughie. He had one regardless.
