TRANSFER GOSSIP

 

 

Manchester United have lined up Lyon striker Karim Benzema as their main summer transfer target, which means the end of Carlos Tevez's time at Old Trafford. (News of the World, Sunday Express)

 

Arsenal's attempt to sign Andrei Arshavin could be hijacked by Manchester City, who have agreed an £18m deal with Zenit St Petersburg. (Sunday Mirror)

 

Manchester City have also targeted Sporting Lisbon midfielder Miguel Veloso. (Sunday Mirror)

 

Manchester City will turn their attention to Chelsea's Carlo Cudicini should they fail to lure Newcastle's Shay Given to Eastlands. (News of the World)

 

And City manager Mark Hughes has been told he needs to offer £20m if he wants Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz. (News of the World)

 

Tottenham will offer winger David Bentley to Middlesbrough in an attempt to seal the signing of Stewart Downing. (Sunday Mirror)

I'm still waiting for the flight he's on with Sir Bob from Southampton to land a Newcastle Airport. Must have one hell of a fuel tank if that plane has stayed up in the air for the best part of 7 years :icon_lol:
