The Mighty Hog 508
Trying to get myself sorted out with a Xbox Live but every time I try to set up a bridge I seem to fail. I think I know where the problem is, it's with my lan. So I right click it and go to Properties > Sharing but all I find is an error message there saying: "Windows cannot display the properties of this connection. The Windows management instrumentation (WMI) informations might be corrupted. To correct this, use the system restore to restore Windows to an earlier time. " I tried the system restore but had no luck at all. Anyone got any ideas on how to sort it?
MrBass 2649
You can give this a whirl: Select Start, Run... Type: Cmd, click OK Type: NET STOP WINMGMT, press Return Type: CD %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\Wbem\Repository\FS Type: REN INDEX.BTR INDEX.BTR-OLD Type: REN OBJECTS.DATA OBJECTS.DATA-OLD Type: DEL INDEX.BTR Type: DEL OBJECTS.DATA Type: SHUTDOWN -R Once your machine restarts, reconfigure your Internet Connection Settings, and Internet Connection Firewall. If that fails, then you'll need to repair your Windows installation, clicky
