Jimbo 175
Huerelho Gomes - PSV Eindhoven to Tottenham (GBP7.8million) Gomes has been erratic at best between this sticks since his arrival from PSV. The warning signs were there when he let an Ashley Young shot slip through his fingers in a defeat at home to Aston Villa in September and it has gone from bad to worse from there. He conceded a ridiculous penalty against Udinese in the UEFA Cup and allowed a weak Simon Davies shot to bounce off him into the net in a loss at Fulham in November. Andrea Dossena - Udinese to Liverpool (GBP7million) Has looked completely out of his depth since his arrival from Serie A, where his form with Udinese last season won him a place in the Italy national side. Is now second-choice left-back behind Fabio Aurelio and had the embarrassment of being dropped for 19-year-old Argentinian defender Emiliano Insua in Liverpool's 3-1 victory at Blackburn. His days at Anfield could be numbered. Dan Shittu - Watford to Bolton (GBP2million) Has played only four times since his move to the Reebok Stadium and Bolton have lost three and drawn one of them, including a humiliating 2-1 home defeat to Northampton in the Carling Cup. If Gary Megson is able to bring in defensive reinforcements in January then Shittu could be moved on. Anthony Gardner - Tottenham to Hull City (GBP2.5million) Gardner moved from Tottenham to secure more first-team football but a series of muscle injuries have restricted him to just three league appearances. He is expected to return to fitness before the new year but could struggle to get a place in the team following Hull's fantastic start to the season. Philipp Degen - Borussia Dortmund to Liverpool (Free Transfer) Has made just two appearances since his move, both in the Carling Cup, and both times he has got injured. In the rare glimpses of him, the Swiss international has not looked like threatening Alvaro Arbeloa for the first choice right-back spot. Xisco - Deportivo to Newcastle (GBP5.7million) If you believe reports, Xisco's signing, as well that of Ignacio Gonzalez, was one of the reasons Kevin Keegan decided to resign as Newcastle manager. Scored on his debut against Hull but has made only four more appearances and does not appear to figure in interim manager Joe Kinnear's first-team plans. Jerome Thomas - Charlton to Portsmouth (GBP1.5million) He made two substitute appearances in August before suffering a thigh strain which kept him out for a month. But since returning to full fitness in October he has not featured in the first-team plans of either Harry Redknapp or new boss Tony Adams. Dave Kitson - Reading to Stoke City (GBP5.5million) Stoke's record signing has not lived up to expectations since his big-money move. The former Reading striker has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season and is yet to find the target. David Bentley - Blackburn to Tottenham (GBP15million) There is no doubt that Bentley's form has improved dramatically since the arrival of Harry Redknapp, however, he is still yet to justify his transfer fee. His poor performances at the start of the season saw him dropped from the England squad. He has yet to reach the form he showed at Blackburn and his crossing and distribution has not been at its usual high standard. Ignacio Gonzalez - Valencia to Newcastle (Loan) Signed on transfer deadline day and has made two appearances as a substitute in losses to West Ham and Hull. Is now out for four months with an Achilles injury. It would not be a surprise if he was not seen in a Newcastle shirt again.
KingKev 0
For me, the worst two are Bentley and Gomes. Overall 23M£ for two ludicrous players. But the press will go on slamming NUFC's transfer policy.
TheInspiration 1
Has to be Gonzalez, after all those billions the club forked out to secure his signature.
Tom 14026
Apparently Spurs are after Bellamy for £15m. They are already trying to make the 2009 list it seems.
1892 0
Robbie Keane could be a shout atm, but i think in the end, he'll live up to expectations. From the list above I'd have say Bentley though, definately not worth £15million and so far he's been rather average.

Jimbo 175
If you add Keane to the list it doesn't read well for Benitez in terms of signings, he's bought some absolute shit over the years.

Tom 14026
Berbatov was class at Spurs like and he was good at Levurkusen too. at Manchester United he has a tough job looking class as it's easier to look good at a poorer team
acrossthepond 923
Have to agree Berbatov must belong on this list, I think Tevez is by far a more complete player and the astronomical price Man U bought him for has left him with a lot to answer for. Nacho shouldn't be on this list - he was a loan signing man, we're not lumbered with him if he doesn't work out. I think this list is missing the catastrophic flops that are Chimbonda and Diouf. Flair 0
Jo would be a good signing for us, if we can get him on the cheap (£9mill) Also, what is moutinho up to these days?

Gejon 2
£9m isn't "cheap" for someone who has struggled at Man City, its not as if he has had world class opposition to fight off.

I am not interested in your opinion tbh. Furthermore, going by current prices, yes it is cheap. Also if your are so picky about grammar, then it is it's not its.
