snakehips 0
Would be the clearest indication yet that Ashley's wanting to give it a second go. Question is, would the fans who've been wanting him out accept that? As football fans, don't we have to??? Shirley football fans live for the present day and if (a big if) NUFC started turning in 5star performances and climbed the league then surely everything in the garden would be rosey? Non?? Park Life 71
Would be the clearest indication yet that Ashley's wanting to give it a second go. Question is, would the fans who've been wanting him out accept that? Depends if he spends or not doesn't it? Let's see how the KK case pans out and if there is any fallout from that. I'd rather we had a decent and honest owner with a bit of class about him. Ashey comes across as some kind of jumped up barrow boi. TheMoog 0
Thing is there used to be just Shearer's shadow overhanging managers coming in, now we've got Keegan's as well because of how things went. To be honest if Ashley really wanted to make a second go of it he'd be better off bringing Keegan in as well, perhaps at the end of the season. I'm not saying it'd be the right thing but until it happens I think there will be a lot of fans who won't trust or accept Ashley. That said, Mort is a step in the right direction. Getting rid of Wise next would open things up to making anything possible.
Optimistic Nut 192
I really couldn't see the players accepting Keegan back now.
Kid Dynamite 7183
Mort in, Wise/Llambias out and a decent spend in January. Thats the least he should be expected to do if he wants to come back to the games again. I dont even know why Wise is there, he isnt needed to scout players anymore because one, MA isnt buying any, and two, Kinnear says he is in charge of any transfers
Ayatollah Hermione 14069
and two, Kinnear says he is in charge of any transfers Can't say I believe that for a second like. And if he is, it's ridiculous to think that Joe Kinnear got full backing while Kevin Keegan didn't.

Fop 1
Mort appeared to actually have a clue. And he was willing to talk and listen to the fans, whereas I get the feeling Llambias has nowt but contempt for us. Mort seemed to understand that a club is the fans (in the end), Lambrusco seems to think of fans more like casual casino clients.
Fop 1
I really couldn't see the players accepting Keegan back now. Why? I can't see Keegan coming back, but the players not wanting him back isn't even on the list of reasons why it won't happen. Now Baggio not wanting him back, fair enough. Unfortunately he pretty much is a used car salesman/chronic gambler done exceptionally well. Which might have been fine, but you can't win gambles forever. I hope Keegan doesn't come back. Can't we just get on with things?
