acrossthepond 877
We're shockingly shit against Wigan and shockingly shit on Boxing Day, I don't think these omens are good. Nevertheless they are a poor side and on paper we should be beating them. I'll hold out for a 2-1.
KingKev 0
Skysports cunts saying 2-1 to Wigan... Even Lawro saying 1-1 I go for a draw or a narrow win, Viduka to score.
1892 0
We beat 'Boro on Boxing Day back in 2001 IIRC. Aye we beat them 3-0 at home. But the list is away games on boxing day. PS - I think we'll get beat tbh. Edited December 24, 2008 by 1892
smoggeordie 0
I'd settle for a draw here like, but like Pompey, a win isn't impossible. 0-

MattM4 0
Given Beye - Coloccini - Bassong - Enrique Gutierrez - Guthrie - Butt - N'Zogbia Viduka - Owen Would love that starting 11. Still on a high from our last two results. Anything from this game will be a positive. If it's a draw, hopefully a scoring one.
Tom 14011
Anything would be a bonus given our boxing day record and league record away at Wigan.

PS - I think we'll get beat tbh. I'm with you, Mr Numbers. It's the old 'it's only Wigan Athletic' problem again. If, however, JFK can motivate the team to the same high level for every team, and not just the 'big boys', we could snatch something against most oppostion. TheInspiration 1
We've kept clean sheets the last three away games. Not sure about Boro but Portsmouth and definitely Chelsea have superior strikers, so there's no reason we can't get something out of this match. Trends have got to end at some point (we've lost 1-0 away to them four straight matches) so hopefully it will be today. I will, however, be very content with a point given our recent record and the fact Wigan are doing well currently.
