adios 717
Should search engines mess with their search results when it comes to searches like 'suicide'? In cases where they could save lives. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,...1589260,00.html

adios 717
There's some strange people around mind. Suicide chat rooms?? 46642[/snapback] Wouldn't be surprised if they were filled with Blackburn fans, soon to be followed by Newcastle fans! I had a quick search and a cursory look showed up nothing but kids looking for help and people trying to help them/chat to them about it. I'd also have to question how much of a part the internet really played in that pair's suicides, they looked to be heading that way. A bit more time spent on why people end up there in the first place and, sorry, but a little less moaning from parents about government 'copping out' on censorship and more time wondering why they missed the fact that their children were in such a state. I'd agree with Renton. On the surface this is grand, just do it for this one thing and help save a few lives. Then people start asking questions about searches for "abortion", "marijuana" and "lesbian grannies milking cats".

The mentally ill, cripples, deaf, blind... In all fairness, those people who want to hang themselves, we ought to cut them some slack...
