Deano 0
I echo a few opnions on here that he is better than FSA and GS but he is not made of the right kinda stuff to be a success in the long term. Yes he has made us harder to beat and really he has worked wonders on the defence. But it is his awareness of when to make a substitution and the ability to se where and who to change is what lets him down. Tactically i think he is ok, and we've played some pretty good football under him but too me he is and has to remain a tempory measure till the end of the season. All being said does anyone else have this horrible gut feeling that if MA decides to stay he will appoint JFK as permanent manager? I think if we do finish the season strongly he would do it tbh. Though id not be over upset if that happened, i would be dissapointed in the lack of ambition. Were has the "I want to win something with newcastle" and "I want to be in the top four" quotes from MA gone? I dont mind MA staying but if he does, and we stay up, which im confident of, i really do hope he gets rid of denise wise, or at least change his status to cheif scout. Id like to see Big Al take over, my heart says he will at end of season but my head says he wont. If not him my shortlist would consist of: *Frank Rjikaard (Id try again) *Didier Deschamps Martin Jol (Maybe) *Alan Shearer Alan Curbishley (Maybe) The ones marked * are the ones i think would be massively successfull and has the ambition to match ours. But for now, survival is paramount and all we can concentrate on. Its a waiting game, a guessing game and though its fun, its irrrelevant. Only time will tell.
