Tooj 17
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/tyne/7783036.stm A massive fire has seriously damaged a garage in Newcastle. At its height, more than 40 firefighters with 10 appliances tackled the blaze at the City Road Garage in Byker on Sunday night. The premises, used as a service and MOT station, partially collapsed and a number of cars both inside and outside the building were destroyed. Part of Ford Street remained cordoned off on Monday morning as fire crews continued to damp down. Mike Neilson, from the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service said that the building was well alight by the time they arrived. "Obviously in a fire of this nature there is a danger of exploding gas bottles and as a precaution we set up a cordon," he said. "The building is seriously damaged and some parts have actually collapsed. "A buildings inspector will be examining it shortly, and there will also be an investigation into the cause of the fire." Saw a bit of this last night as I was walking along to wor lasses, it was only in the smoke stage unfortunately, however my money's on Wacky for this number like. He seems the arson type.
