Craig 6700
I was in Leazes west corner and didn't see one. It was said all along that the buckets were going to be at the gallowgate end... I stuck a couple of quid in at about 11.45 but when he rattled the bucket it sounded shamefully empty. Bit of a damp squib really, not helped in any quarter by the announcement made a couple of hours earlier..
Tom_NUFC 0
And the final sum collected of £2.5K hardly seems vast, given the crowd of 52,000 present (with a non-NUFCweb forum collecting 10% of that amount alone). Did anyone even see any collection buckets? I didn't see a single one I didn't liase with the police and the club on the collection buckets, but my understanding is that we only had permission to collect at the Gallowgate. That's the only place we were told to collect at. I'll certainly get clarification on that at the next meeting, because if we do any collections ion the future it's something we need to take into account, as is getting more volunteers out to collect, because we had an issue there as well. JawD 99
I passed three buckets on my way in. One near the bottom of the steps by the club shop, one by the east stand near the burger van and one near the top of the east stand leazes end.
