peasepud 59
Obviously we're only about protest and the like but the NUSC is urgently trying to organise the Sir Bobby Robson appreciation day for either the Spurs or Liverpool games (hopefully Spurs). The idea being that banners, flags etc in honour of the man will be displayed, countless renditions of "Robson Wonderland" and "one Booby Robson". There will (hopefully) be some presentations from the fans and (again hopefully) the club will also honour the great man. Frankly, as was said in the SBR tonight thread, this is our chance to show him what we really think of him while hes still here and hopefully raise some cash for his charity at the same time. There really isnt anything for people to do other than start organising yourselves a banner, flag etc, make sure you bring your scarf on the day (hopefully we will know in the next day or so which day it is) and get ready to party. Andrew Flintoff 0
I'm always a bit wary of these. It always seem to me to be a "you're ganna be deed soon" type of day.

Craig 6700
Make it the Liverpool game Pud. I'll be up there and I think our soliciting friend from the Manchester region is also paying a visit IIRC.

JawD 99
Wonder if its possible to arrange bucket collections officially for his charity? With a bit of time, wonder if its possible to get the chronicle to do a SBR 4 page piece in the paper?
peasepud 59
Wonder if its possible to arrange bucket collections officially for his charity? With a bit of time, wonder if its possible to get the chronicle to do a SBR 4 page piece in the paper? The first part is currently being arranged, we are also in contact with the Ronnie who are keen on the idea and are looking to do some promotion stuff. We are now collecting messages for him, we're not sure what will be done with them yet, worst case is that they will appear on a website dedicated to him but maybe we will do something more, Im keen on the idea of having the best ones made into some proper book which will be presented to him. Anyone who wants to leave a message can do so here > http://www.nusc.org.uk/sbr_messages.php

ewerk 31229
Liverpool might be a better time to have it with the live TV coverage.

Ayatollah Hermione 14069
Sounds good all this how much from the chronicle will be done though? The Chronicle have a much larger scope in terms of advertising the proceedings than the NUSC do. In full support of this like. Great idea and it should be a great tribute. Oh absolutely, the point im making is I wonder if we will see flatbed trucks with bands on the back etc? I'm sure a lot of bars around the Toon will be up for this especially places like Sam Jacks (lol) and The Strawberry. I'd fully expect them to get behind the clause! Hopefully the club will to! I cant see any reason why they wouldn't! Oh and is that Karl Pilkington in your avatar? Genious! Edited December 18, 2008 by Marko
Craig 6700
Thought it was worth stickying this one.... I've left a note on 'Red And White Kop' outlining what the plans are and hopefully encouraging them to partake. Also dropped a note the Match of the Day boys on the BBC website. Craig 6700
Well the lads over at RAWK have nowt but praise for SBR and also for the plans that are being made. Those going are pledging to get involved. An idea I thought of was whether we could suggest to any pubs and bars who are wanting to take part to play a copy of 2J's SBR tribute clip on the big screens? peasepud 59
We could do with a bit help on the following if anyone has any contacts or the like. We're trying to get a band together to play around the streets, the original thought was on the back of a truck but not sure if thats feasible in the timescales (H&S etc) but we are looking for a band. Ideally one of those trumpet (Nobby???) and the like bands so no KORN tributes etc. We're also trying to get in touch with Graham Danby the Opera bloke so if anyone knows how to contact him that would be appreciated.
