Some advertising/PR/marketing/Graphic Design in the charity and voluntary sector.

Editor and project manage a Youth magazine that is set to launch nationally following its recent success.

And in case I get bored and don't have enough to do I am in the process of starting up a charity.

Well we are piloting it nationally as a mixture of the economic climate and the fact we are a bit unknown within the sector has meant we have not secured the funding we have hoped for yet, but with it being a non profit magazine I am in for some funding for it (so fingers crossed) and we are trying to put some pressure on some important people in high places within the country so may get some backing through that.

I am equally as excited about setting the charity up tbh, working in the sector and complaining about some things other people do, or should be don't do, thought it was time for me to see how we can tackle (pardon the pun) raising awareness about male cancers. Have been sitting on the idea of it for a couple of years now and have a few campaigns already waiting to get rolled out so hopefully we can make an impact with that (will help if my magazine is in schools, colleges and Unis and I give it free advertising of course). From a fundraising side of things we are looking to give financial support to people who have been diagnosed as there is very little fundung support for many people who have struggle with time from work, travel costs for attending Chemo, Hospice expenses etc.

Fingers crossed it all takes off pretty well. Sure is going to be alot of work but hopefully worth it.
