Craig 6682
People spend a lot of time thinking up their children's names. It's just a pity they don't always think as hard about their domain names. These are all real - click the links to confirm. Firstly there is Who Represents?, a database for agencies to the rich and famous: http://www.whorepresents.com Second is the Experts Exchange, a knowledge base where programmers can exchange advice and views: http://www.expertsexchange.com Looking for a pen? Look no further than Pen Island: http://www.penisland.net Need a therapist? Try: http://www.therapistfinder.com And there is an Italian Power company: http://www.powergenitalia.com Finally we have the Mole Station Native Nursery, based in New South Wales: http://www.molestationnursery.com

Smooth Operator 10
Your knocking on wood Brock son. Read the domain name as 1 long word then seperate the words within that - for example penisland reads penis island but it's really pen island for all your biro needs! I thinks it's a case of the lights being on but no-one's home eh Brock? Edited October 14, 2005 by Smooth Operator

luckyluke 2
Speaking of domain names, how much does massara.org cost you? Oh, and check yer PMs.
Lou 0
No idea, Dad deals with that... Well, to be honest, he bought the domain name for the hell of it and then wasted it for about two years because he didn't actually want/have time to make a website for it. So, seeming as we had it, he let me use it. Which is nice. And, about the PM, I think the acronym LMAO is probably most appropriate. I didn't think you were serious when you said you'd send that picture...... ...and lo, the board's imagination runs riot.....
Craig 6682
That powergenitalia one is a spoof, but it looks like the rest are real. http://www.snopes.com/business/names/powergen.asp 46442[/snapback] You really should read the it at the bottom carefully you know Renton.... the folks at Powergen maintained that they had nothing to do with the choice of domain name and didn't even have an Italian division. The powergenitalia.com domain apparently hosts the web site of a real Italian company (Powergen Italia) which sells specialized battery products. It's not a spoof at all - 100% real site - all snopes is confirming is that it's got nothing to do with the British company Powergen..

It won't let me log on to it now anyway. What I do know is that I first heard of this one about a year ago - and back then at least the site was clearly a spoof. My guess is that since then someone has bought the domain name form the spoofers and are well aware of its connotations, but are using it for publicity.
