Fop 1 Posted November 12, 2008 Share Posted November 12, 2008 What actually happened was the kept them as their biggest profit earner and in many places a pint of Coke will be as much as a pint of Guinness. Mind you, that's true in Forrun as well, so it still comes back to our drinking culture. Coke's always been relative expensive in heathen parts, probably what helps heart health and weight. But even cordial drinks tend to be ramped up to obscene profits. And our drinking culture goes back to our controls, limits and taxation. Prohibition (even partial) never works. I don't think anything will stop some more price rises at the moment though, as Brown likes a tax that he can pretend has morale backing and at the moment he needs plenty.
