Guest alex
Star Wars - I enjoyed the original at the cinema when I was a kid, i always thought the rest were a bore fest. Tried to watch Star Wars again recently, load of toss Pink Floyd- overhyped shat for middle class schooolboys One of the reasons punk started was to get away from smug self indulgent stadium tedium like this. Listen to Animals. More venom than any punk record It's daft arguing about what boils down to taste though.
Brock Manson 0
I like a bit of Pink Floyd The Who are shit though. And ACDC. I can't stand The Who, they're terrible and one of them is a nonce. Not bad live though. I read 1984 and really didn't like it. I'll even go and say that I thought some parts of it were poorly-written (the reading of Goldstein's book for example; drivel). Same with Animal Farm.

soccermom 0
I agree with those who've trodden on the beatles. They were in the right place at the right time providing a much needed feel good factor for the masses. Apart from that, their music and lyrics......... ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Just how shite. Bollocks to that "they don't make songs like they used to..." crap of my parents generation. Anth 113
These may or may not have been mentioned: 2001 a space odyssey - What the fuck is going on there! Requiem for a dream and pi.. Both alright films imo but not the classics they seem to be banded around as on the interweb! Spinal Tap. I only managed to watch this a few years ago, and It was a bit meh about it. probably as alot of films and tv emulated that style of comedy meaning it was sort of old hat to me.. The Big Lebowski - Is this considered a classic? my lasses bearded PHD student of a brother will sit in fornt of this and other cohen brothers films and claim they are masterpieces - I didn't see the attraction tbh - mildly entertaining plot but nowt spectacular Blade runner - Ended up bored! Gemmill 47072
Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Middle English equates to illiterate modern day teenager: Whilom, as olde stories tellen us, Ther was a duc that highte Theseus; Of Atthenes he was lord and governour, And in his tyme swich a conquerour, That gretter was ther noon under the sonne. Ful many a riche contree hadde he wonne, What with his wysdom and his chivalrie; And the tales themselves are fucking crap.
