It's funny cos this time last year the mackems were top

horseshit

Yet we are consistantly second. I reckon there maybe something in it.

Seriously? You actually think this has some value? Some scientific merit?

Just taking it at face value.

Do you believe in your heart and I mean being 110% honest with yourself Tottenham are as passionately supported as Newcastle United?

No

I believe we are more passionately supported.

we certainly dont desert the club at the first sign of trouble

Incredible, you know in your heart that will never be true, you're not even the most passionately supported club in London. If you went to the doctors you would be diagnosed with an acute form of utter daft cuntness.

And that would be?

You can put your hands over your ears and shout LALALALA as much as you want but the truth is we sell out home and away every week.

Unlike your lot who got the hump cause you didnt get the "wow" signing you were promised.

Sell out every week? With you 1,100 away allocations, you couldn't even sell out a game with Arsenal two seasons ago. I remember the FA Cup in 1999 here, 400 of you, I've always considered Tottenham to be a mickey mouse club who I look down my nose at from the first time I went there, 17,000 gates in the Prem the week before. I genuinely classed you in the same bracket as Charlton Athletic, a club Danny Murphy once said were bigger than Spurs. If I was to put a table of the most passionate support in the Premiership, there's no way on earth you would be in the top ten. What makes you a total daft cunt is you type things you don't believe. No one in the world would consider Tottenham to be a more passionately supported club than NUFC, you would get laughed at, just ask your big Spurs fan Sir Les.

As for clubs in London with more passionate followers, West Ham without any argument, old Chelsea not the corporates now, Millwall and Brentford. You could even put an argument up for QPR.

ha ha Stevie you're a joke pal, utterly clueless. West Ham? Old Chelsea? Dial Square 1886?

5K under capacity for your opening game of the season, tells me all I need to know. And with a 60K seater coming our way you wont be able to lord it over us number wise either.

The atmosphere at WHL was wank last night till Spurs scored. If these people brung their mics to Newcastle v Sunderland it would be a different outcome, it's the most flawed survey ever imo. As for best fans in the world, we have too many wank in our support to think about that accolade, but imo we are far more worthy than any English team of it. Who would get over 50,000 most weeks, having not won a trophy for 40 years? No one. Who would get over 50,000 most weeks, having not won a domestic trophy for 54 years? No one.

How many times have you got 50K+ this season?

Average gate is nearly 48,000 despite unparalleled turmoil off the pitch London.

Always an excuse isnt there Steve? BTW Ledley 1 Carra 0

Was a wank atmosphere last night wasn't it?

Had the stuffing knocked out of us by the early first goal but we picked up later on and we were going before the equaliser went in.

 Cor lumme blimey, that's knocked the staffin ahta me and no mistake. Gerrrrcha!

The ground will never get off the ground I'm telling you that now. If it does you will average early 50s first season for the novelty and settle out about 38-40,000 long term. Go on glory-glory they all agree that 60,000 is too big. So many of your games even go to general sale and you have a capacity of 35,000 now!

Yes West Ham by far. You're not a passionately supported club, and are considered by no one as such. You are however better than Arsenal, but who the fuck isn't. There's rugby crowds with more passion than Arsenal.

I post on Glory Glory and it may be a little bit on the large side. However we have 25K STs now with a 20K waiting list. so thats 40K ish right there.

What they need to do is drop the prices because we are the third most expensive club inn the country to watch.

If they make the prices more realistic we will sell out every week.

I couldn't give a fuck about arguments about attendances, or which crowd is the loudest, but I must say that a 20k waiting list at Spurs sounds like a pretty tall tale.

They gauge it by people having to sign up for a special membership, I know not all will take them up when offered thats why I busted it down to 15K take up.

your honestly like listening to talksport. theres always some ridiculous argumentative side to their broadcasts so that it provokes a response by listeners and it makes for good listening for the neutrals. the only thing is on this board there isnt really a neutral fan base and thats why you become the annoyance.

Danny,

You are falling into the classic false illusion syndrome with this ST waiting list.

When clubs have relatively small grounds for their status/support then season ticket demand is high, people know that's the only way they will get to the bigger games.

When you increase capacity to the level that most can get a ticket anyway you actually reduce the demand for season tickets. All of a sudden people can pick & choose their games without the need for a ST.

oh yay, a Danny B thread, I wonder what it could possibly be about... oh look it's trying to insinuate, using the weakest argument known to man, that Spurs are in some way shape or form better than Newcastle... what a fucking surprise.

Danny B? post something interesting*, I dares ya.

*by interesting, I do not mean Stevie baiting.

just an unfunny alex tbh

I prefer to think he's a funny version of me tyvm

Seriously though Danny, did you believe that this list holds an ounce of truth?

think of the myriad factors to consider. As JawD says, the size and acoustics fo the ground, the importance of the game, the events on the pitch, the position and number of microphones etc. etc.

it's a bollocks stat that you've posted to garner a reaction from Stevie. It's obvious and boring.

we will just have to fill the seats with tourists and the irish like your lot

By 'your lot' I can only presume you're referring to Man Utd, I can assure you FC United don't get mant Irish & tourists.

Only one small problem with your logic, Danny.

To fill your ground with tourists usually comes as a result of continued success, something your club has constantly failed to achieve. Man Utd can fill their ground with tourists because they are the most succesful club over the last couple of decades. Liverpool can fill their ground with tourists because they had continued success domestically before Man Utd and despite not winning the league they ain't done bad in the years since with Champions League and cup success. Chelsea can get the tourists in because they've had success in recent years. If you want to put Spurs in the same category as those 3 then I'm afraid you are seriously deluded.

neither do we you muppet. we've had one of the best average attendences for years despite the fact that we've been mostly shite for the while period. hardly like it's the first sign of trouble is it

He will never compute.

They have won a game they should have lost 5-0.

It's all top 4 finishes, 60'000 seater sell outs and Champions league finals for Tottenham fans now
