Ketsbaia 0
Not a bad player on the park tonight IMO. All played out their skins. Totally agree, was thinking at about 70 mins who was going to come off, then thought to myself that no one deserved to be subbed, they all played their hearts out tonight. I started to get really hung up on subs at about 75 mins. "Get Martins off! Get him off! He's on a yellow! He's tiring! Get him off! Get him.....YES! I LOVE YOU OBA! FUCKING GET IN! I SAID HE WAS MINT!"
Deano 0
What happened to all the people that said Martins was gash and should fuck off!!! Showed tonight why hes better off here than at any other team in the league. Shola has had 2 good games in 3, WTF!!! Duff and Jonas great 2nd halves, back 4 looked solid and Given only had the 1 save to make. Bring on Fulham!!! Well i did say last week that he'd been wastful and frustrating of late, also put it down to match fitness. Iv always thought he would come good, i really do think he can be a 20 a season striker just who to play alonside him is the question? Great performance tonight by shola tonight too, maybe just maybe owen mite not push his way back in straight away!

If he did that more often people would rightly love him. Shola looked brilliant as did Duff. Jonas is amazing too.
Besty 4
I posted in this thread today this was my first post in this thread i said before the game he was a very average player. He is. Oh sorry I must be an idiot cos i disagree with you. What makes him any good? A player that failed at Newcastle coming to Villa as our most expensive player in our history. You don't buy potential for £12m not for someone who has achieved nothing in his career. You should get quality and near the finished product for this amount of money. He can't cross He has minimal pace He very rarely beats players Is not particularly skilful He regularly fails to pass to players on his own team But he works hard. Oh he must be good. On the Villa forum.

David Kelly 1217
Shola possibly played better than Martins (who's inability to read Shola's flick ons is annoying) but scorining twice is more than enough to give him the mom. Barton is looking like a footballer again and Butt did an excellent job in the middle of the park (and where the fuck did he pull that freekick from?). Jonas is fucking class though, I completely love him.

It should be the managers job to send him out there feeling terrific imo don't reckon his inconsistency is down to motivation, he always seems up for it things just either go his way or dont Edited November 3, 2008 by Andrew

Spot on too, can't cross, can't beat the first defender at a corner, can't take a free kick, rarely scores, other than that he's a fucking world beater, £12m lol
JonGoodwyn 1
Need to get a big man in to work with Oba. I think its almost certain Owen'll be gone unless something shocking happens.

I R Toon Fan 0
O P T I M I S M! Hooray it worked for once. Great game I enjoyed it immensely. What we need now is an away win Fulham we're a-coming!
Papa Lazaru 0
Great effort from the whole team, with the midfield four getting through one hell of alot of work and running. Thought Colo was class at the back yet again and Taylor much improved on recent disasters, stuck to doing what he does well and nothing stupid. And great to see that spell at 2-0 when we knocked the ball around confidently and took the piss for a few moments. If we can take this into the Fulham game and then Wigan we could be feeling alot happier than we have been. But ive always said that even with all the complete chaos at the club and the threat of the unknown, if we'd had our best players fit and available i was always confident of us doing fine. We're now seeing what happens when we get our first choice RB and LB returning and gaining full match fitness and the difference Jonas and Barton make to the midfield. Throw in the fact Shola is looking like a footballer and putting in some effort under JK and its no wonder we're looking better. Still alot of hard work ahead though! Tom 14011
Just back in. Fucking mint performance, Mint atmosphere and we played them off the field It wasn't lucky or jammy we played good football and deserved the 3 points in full. Butt's free kick was just off too It thought it would have shot over!
I R Toon Fan 0
I thought the defense was very solid today. Dont agree with you Ant bout Beye, didn't get into much trouble and was bursting forward. Spidey + Beye = Thought Enrique had arguably his best game didn't make to many rash passes and stuck to his game. Colo looked after Carew tres well and his clearances were very good, usually found a man. Taylor looked improved. Couldn't complain to much about him. If these formed a partnership that had them playing a bit like that for the rest of the season I'd be owa the night sun.
