If we don't want to be headlong as one of the favourites to go down, it is of vital importance that get the six points against WBA and Villa. Both are at home and at least one is very winnable. If not, come Christmas (and the possibility of a resurgent Spurs), we may be in big shit. If we are in big shit, how we we keep hold of players and attract new ones (regardless of who the owner is)? Cid_MCDP 0
So the next five we've got Brom, Aston Villa, Fullham, Wigan, Chelsea. What's the odds of us getting at least 9 points out of those five games?

Where's the Wigan game at? Maybe eight points? If we don't win tomorrow, we can just about kiss it all away. Maybe an over reaction, but I think you get my drift. It does help that Spurs' next few games are difficult, but they may even score a draw out of a few of them.

It won't be a case of "might be" relegated then, it will be a case of can't avoid it.

What's the odds of us getting at least 9 points out of those five games? all of those, bar chelsea, are winnable. but confidence of the squad will have a massive part to play - that's why it's crucial that we win tonight. in fact, if we don't beat at least west, brom, fulham and wigan out of that lot then i think we're in deep deep shit as we'll do well to get anything against villa. Did you realise you started off a bit optimistically there so thought you'd better return to type? 7 points wouldn't be a bad return given the state we're in imo. And it would probably see us move out of the top 3.

Guest alex
Villa's at home isn't it? Draw is a canny result though. Edit: Did you delete your post HF? Edited October 28, 2008 by alex

acrossthepond 899
If we're to fancy an away game, it has to be Fulham. I remember a similar run of games a little later in the year for Fat Sam which he bungled. Hope we don't have a repeat performance.
