Happy Face 29
....then all possible realities must exist at all times, right here right now. Or is it really complicated? Never thought I'd be in the reality where Ameobi gets a standing ovation in St James' Park again.

Park Life 71
If it's infinite, how come it's expanding? It's re-colonising the space from its last expansion.

Park Life 71
If it's infinite, how come it's expanding? It's re-colonising the space from its last expansion. So it isn't infinite then? It is and it isn't. It is moving into the future (time +expansion) as it receeds (-time - retraction). The question you're asking is the same one I was thinking about when starting the thread. It's a tough one for us to imaging cause to us space and time are very concrete, but in universal time they are really only ghosts.

Happy Face 29
There's always the next barrier isn't there? I'm sure the next frontier will be as unfathomable to us as visiting the moon was to Ug.

Zathras 266
Infinite is not the same as all-encompassing. Imagine a cube. Now take off the top and bottom. Imagine the space in the cube expanding infinitely upwards and downwards. This is infinite without encompassing the areas to the north, south, east and west of the cube.
