Lou 0 Posted October 11, 2005 Share Posted October 11, 2005 'lo! I've got Windows XP Professional, currently got Service Pack 1. And I want to install Service Pack 2 - I have the proper CD with it on. So, I put the CD in and all goes well to start with.... it goes through the whole "extracting files" thing... and then...... nothing. Nothing at all. It doesn't install, and these extracted files disappear, as far as I can tell. All the SP2 help pages I've been on don't mention a word about this happening. Also, I can't download it off the internet instead, because my stupid Uni Network doesn't let you download stuff. At all. Boo! Any ideas whould be appreciated.... ta!
