Aye it's a translation of "invest in youth" or "build from within" etc. etc. etc. Thats a romantic philosophy, but I don't think you can't you can compete at any level of the Premier League with that outlook sadly, especially with the state of our squad right now. Wenger's long term plan seems to have been a conveyor belt of youth, but when he took over he kept the strong back four, bought a couple of first teamers and a few squad men.
