The promises of signing a new contract, the insistance that he was a spurs fan and would never walk out, just running down the clock until he could leave on a free for inflated wages at our most hated local rivals. If that isnt a reason I don't know what is. The man is the personification of everything that is wrong with a modern footballer. I believe deep down he knows what he has done and that is why he has been struggling with certain issues in his life. One apology would go a long way to sorting this out. I won't hold my breath.
