Guest alex
Big fucking deal either way. People are almost idolising Mort due to the fact that it's gone to shit since he left. All he was here for was to implement the current structure and oversee the takeover. Everything he did was with the tacit agreement of the owner. He talked a good game but so did Ashley in that lengthy statement released at the start of the season.

Glasgow Mag 0
My e-mail to him, and his response: Dear Mr Mort, I would like to plead with you to come back as chairman of Newcastle United FC. Kevin Keegan is the heart and soul of Newcastle United. I have been a Newcastle fan since I was 9 years old, in 1990. The return of Kevin Keegan to Newcastle in January revived my passion for the club, and my excitement for going to watch them play is on a par with what it was when I was an 11 year old by when he first came to the club. Mike Ashley clearly has the wrong kind of people around him, giving him the wrong advice. None more so than the little poisoned dwarf, Dennis Wise, who is no freind of Newcastle United supporters. It did not go un-noticed that you presided over a period of relative stability in the recent history of the club, and gained a lot of respect from its support. I would like to beg you to come back, talk some sense into Mike Ashley, and attempt to sort out this mess. If you are unwilling to relinquish your present position, then can you please at least make a telephone call to him. Perhaps also to 'King Kev' to remind him how much he means to the club. I fear that without Kevin Keegan at the club, it will nosedive. Yours Gratefully, Dr Colin Malcolm ------------------------------------------------------------------ christopher.mort@freshfields.com to me show details 5 Sep Reply Thanks Colin Having brought KK back to NUFC, I am obviously very disappointed with recent developments. I have not had an involvement with NUFC or individuals there since early June and do not expect to have a role influencing where things go from here. Not that it matters because I doubt either of those two cunts can read, let alone switch a computer on for more than surfing pygmy porn but Newcastle United actually has a relatively simple to guess email address format for its' employees. If you search .cock you'll probably find a clue or two - info at nufc dot co dot uk isn't a hint though.

I'm saddened by the fact you left your position at NUFC, the reason I am is because you are probably the best chairman we've had. You communicated with the fans, didn't tell us any lies, and made sure our thoughts and opinions were noted and acted upon. This new bloke Llambias, is the complete opposite, I don't think I've ever heard his voice, he's clearly not up to it, and this crisis this week, would never have happened had you still been here. It must be boring as fuck being a solicitor compared to the ups and downs as chairman at one of the biggest football clubs in Europe, so I think you should consider coming back, you are very popular on Tyneside, more so than Mr Ashley, and we feel you could steady the ship. Regards Steve He's just copied and pasted what he's sent me.

We need a top continental coach like Ramos. On a more serious note, KK is as good as we're likely to get at present.

Asprilla 96
Keegan is a loads better manager than most in the premiership. People criticise him unfairly for needing a large budget but the managers at the big four splash the cash on a regular basis so it's a stupid argument. He didn't spend anything in the January transfer window, yet had us playing like a completely different team. It's not just sentiment.

Did you not notice Joe Kinnear arrive? Keegan lost 3 in his last 13 games. The only home game he lost was to Chelsea. Since he left we've lost 4. 3 of them at home to Hull, Blackburn and Spurs. If that's not a nosedive, I don't know what is.

I'm not deluded enough to think so. I thought Ashley had a bit of money when he got Keegan and courted Redknapp. And I'm not saying that as if to say Keegan would be scraping the barrell either. He's an excellent manager, and far better than a club run like we've been deserve. Miles better than Redknapp.
