I can't see for one minute why Ashley would draft someone in who's been out of the game for 4 years and tell him all the details of the takeover bids and what the potential new owners have planned - all within a couple of hours.

 

Ashley is the bloke who wouldn't sanction Kinnear's pre-decessor the knowledge of which players he'd be keeping or getting remember!

I think the whole things bollocks, hes been fed a pack of shite to ensure he says it thereby getting the fans to stop protesting in case of jeopardising the deal.

 

I am willing to put money on the fact that this will not come off but Ashley will make some statement of how the fans mutiny has caused the buyers to pull out (and N-O will melt down).
