sammynb 3355
After watching El Tel Australia's 1998 WC qualifier against Iran I've never understood what people see in him. They call Keegan tactically naive (a fallacy by the way) but old Tezza couldn't run a bath. If the club had new owners tomorrow no doubt we'd be more likely to find a new manager, blood money or not. Fop 1
Neither. Although I'd rather have Venables short term and DIC buying us for £250m Than the Nigerian's giving Ashley £400m and then next season unbelievable being even worse (as there's a coup in Nigeria or something). AgentFox 0
el tel for a bit then the nigerians can bring back KK and we can forget this ever happened
Jackies the Lad 0
el tel for a bit then the nigerians can bring back KK and we can forget this ever happened IMO can't see either happening at the moment, El Tel wants extended contract and NUFC are offering match by match - stalemate. IMO the nigerians stuff is a story too far, really big con!
JonGoodwyn 1
El Tel is just after an extended contract so when (if) any new owners come in, he'll make a few million when he gets ditched
Phil K 0
And just WHAT are the Nigerians going to offer nufc ? We aren't talking arab level of money here you know. We aren't even talking Ashley level FFS.... Supposedly, they are going to bring Keegan back and give him £75m. I think that is enough for us to be in top 6. Then, they can give us like £30m a season which should be sufficient. Edited September 25, 2008 by Attain

Give me a new MD & DoF and MA's £20mil plus whatever the club raises itself (through TV monies etc). I can even handle the DoF Continental style management as long as it has a credible DoF and a manager used to working in that situation. Dont get me wrong, I liked having KK here and I thought he'd do a great rescue job, but the chances of him ever coming back are non-existent. I'm not going to 'forgive and forget', but the current alternative to MA scares me. If thats the option, I'd rather we did it his way (but maybe we'd have to take care of the dwarf somehow...... )
