KingKev 0
And where are the goals going to come from if we sell Owen like? Tottenham have "quality" midfielders and they're banging them in, aren't they? Yeah, but at least they are creating chances every game aren't they? If I am a striker looking for a new club, would I be more interested in joining a club with a good midfield creating chances or a team like newcastle in which I will get 1 or 2 chances a game, and am expected to score those? Did you see the Spurs game on Monday? They were crap. Care about your own club an piss off, please.
blaugrana909 0
I think you should sell Owen and Martins for a lot of money. Use that money to buy some really quality midfielders, and some decent strikers. Do you play a lot of Football Manager then? No I don't actually. But its common knowledge that you build from the back, whereas you are trying to build from the front. If you are creating 10, 15 chances a game, your strikers will finish a few of them. But you guys are creating 1 or 2 a game, and thats not good enough. Am I wrong in my assessment? Yes. We don't have a manager long enough to build from anywhere. Please if you're just going to bleet out like that piss off. Why did we lose Keegan? Partly because he wanted 2 more defenders and Mr Wise he said no. I'm just calling it as I see it. I can't think of any other team that has "better" strikers than midfielders. Usually its the other way around and there's a good reason for that. It wouldn't be the end of the world if you sold Owen and Martins to buy some quaility midfielders. Obviously if you can buy quality midfielders without selling them that would be better, but you need people who can create. Not 1 player who can create, but 4. Overhaul your midfield and the goals will come, and with it wins. Then you can sing ei i ei i o The problem is you clearly have NO IDEA of what has, is and will be going on at the club. You're not producing gems of wisdom, you're producing nuggets of nonsense as you have no idea of the context. Do you know who our other strikers are if we lose Owen and Martins for instance? (Owen is gone in January anyway now most likely). Like I said the reason we lost Keegan was that HE was trying to strengthen defence and Wise was trying to sell everyone and buy no one (look at our squad we have a decent 1st 11, but almost no squad to speak of). We have major problems are NUFC, none of which will be solved by "strengthen from the back" platitudes. I'm not interested in your internal problems. I'm not a Newcastle fan. I'm a neutral looking at your side and observing that you have a terrible midfield who couldn't create chances to save their lives. I'm not saying sell Owen and Martins and buy nobody. Buy replacement strikers, but cheaper ones that aren't so high profile. Use the money to strengthen your midfield, because average strikers can score if your midfield can create. Sure you might not get the wonder goals that Owen scored today or Martins has scored before, but you'll get goals. As far as I know, theres no colum in the league table for "Amazing goals", it's just "goals scored", and if I was part of the management, I would be thinking about what the best way to get these goals would be. I'm saying the best way is to create lots of chances. You might disagree. But I know you have lots of internal problems that I'm overlooking, I hope all that gets sorted out sooner rather than later so that you can focus on building a strong team. Tell that to Ashley, Labrusco and Wise......... I'm sure they'll listen to you, clearly you are the unheralded voice of reason and wisdom we need. Although the fact is an incredible midfield being fronted by Smith and Ameobi is going to be no better than an uncreative midfield fronted by Owen and Martins. Although again today is a result of injuries, paper thin squad and low moral - all down to Wise and Co. (Keegan temporarily solved the midfield issue last season by playing Owen, Martins and Viduka - unfortunately Viduka is never fit and Keegan has been forced out. ). Totally different argument now. Fuck off man. Its the exact same argument. Spurs have a better midfield than you, and thus will create more chances, and thus will score more goals. Feel free to disagree with my logic, but I think it makes perfect sense. More chances = more goals, not sure what's debateable about that.

Aye, but that's not something that's exactly an amazing revelation, to the fans or to Keegan - even Wise and Ashley must have an inkling by now. Some strikers from a UEFA cup team in Italy or Spain? An incredible midfield + 2 decent strikers would be a good way forward for you.

Again you've not being paying much attention to our summer or our owner and middle-management. I'm slightly bemused at how you think we can get an "incredible midfield" with £0 net spending (especially in the January window when prices are always massively inflated and we may be 1/2 relegated by then). Did you know we had a manager who wanted to strengthen the squad, before he was forced out by a tyrannical owner and his poison dwarf lackey who don't want to spend any money because they're just trying to make a profit? We lose to Hull, you lose to Numancia...

AllyB 0
God this really is depressing my boss is a mackem my colleague a smoggie its such fun at work at the moment :/ Any word on whether any of those twats were there for the game?? Hiding in a dir box? The only good thing that might come out of these results is more flak for them might push ash to sell before we are worth half the amount he paid, which is what would happen if we go down. I don't believe he wants to sell at all, the over valuation is a blatant PR stunt. I did chuckle at the I could slap Keegan comments today though. He's an ex casino manager who probably ordered guys to break people's legs when they don't pay up. What the hell did they expect puttin him in charge of a football club oh yeah that was clever!! How dare they disrespect Keegan!! I honestly don't know how he's made the money, he comes across as a complete braindead clueless guy who is sucked in by his mates. Relegation material, very worrying, bye bye Owen Hard to see anything positive at the moment and I normally do. /rant
sammynb 3355
What utter utter shite. Everything from the starting line up to commentators blaming player's lack of performance on the supporter unrest to the shite that Wise and cunts have lumbered us with, yes Xisco I'm looking at you. When we finally decided to put West Ham under a bit of pressure, why we waited until we were three goals down god only knows, the hammers looked like they could have folded - so we step off, sub the better of the two central midfielders and bring on Nacho who looks like he wants everything but does fuck all with it. The second and third goals again prove N'Zogbia isn't a defender. Edger looks like a rabbit in the headlights, Bassong looks like he can play but that's a bit difficult for him when he's on the bench. Lastly that twat Dick Money, arms behind his head stretched out in the sun when we're being battered by a very average West Ham boils my piss. This fucking club. Oh, I though Cacapa had a great game for a scapegoat.

We have nothing to invest. We spent £0 net over the summer. We have an owner and middle-management that are trying to run us like a bargain goods store. Our manager (Keegan) that resigned WANTED to strengthen us like that, but was NOT allowed to by the owner and middle-management. This is what I'm saying about our situation - what you're saying makes some sense, but it is IRRELEVANT to our current situation.
