Kosmar/XL have gone bust, If you have booked direct then you wont be going on holiday, If you have paid cash/chq then you will proberbly lose your money, If you have paid with a credit card or booked with a travel agent then you should get a refund.

If you are already on holiday having booked with a travel agent then you should get back OK

I work at Gatwick airport and flight prices are going through the roof, a single to Spain is around £800

I hope no-one has been affected by this

lots more airlines are in the same boat..........

one thing that interested me was that if you'd booked over the net you weren't covered by ATOLL - you have to try and get the cash back from your credit card company....................

Of the charter airlines Thomas Cook are supposed to be OK

BA, Lufthansa, Air France-KLM, EasyJet & Ryanair are probably going to be the last ones standing if it all goes wrong

Apparently so.

Could be an interesting and expensive time with only a couple of airlines and looking like only a couple of banks the way things are going.

Eventually we're all going to be owned body, mind and soul by microsoft anyway so maybe it's for the best. :snakehips:

Alitalia cancelling some flights out of Rome today - "technical reasons" - eg no fuel............
