Guest alex
We're still waiting for the WOW signing though The wow signing that is based on what is likely fiction. I very much doubt there will be a wow signing. I can see us getting one more decent players and calling it a day. Didnt Ashley promise it in THE MAG though? I seem to remember him saying that there was one signing that we wouldnt believe. Was that Collo? Was that in the Mag? I thought that was said in the fictional emergency meeting to flog corporate boxes that didn't happen. That's where it's rumoured to have definitely taken place. The Fish 10963
You're complaining because we haven't signed someone that you've heard of.Two solutions, trust the management and play more football manager p.s. I hope you're big enough to come back on here and apologise if these fellas prove to be good performers. you'd better hope the one we bought is a good performer considering the other one is on loan... sell a winger for 12m and brought in those two one of which we don't own aye great transfer window. i'll be big enough dont youworry about that but considering playersout > players in currently few injuries and were fucked.. You're fun. 14.27 Mark Hughes has confirmed to Sky Sports News that Manchester City have had a bid for Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov accepted, and he now hopes to meet the striker to discuss a shock move to Eastlands. Deano 0
As it stands we've brought in Gutierrez, Guthrie, Bassong, Gonzalez and the impending move of Xisco. What is everyone hoping or expecting to happen further? Personally id like to see another creative midfielder, a defensive midfielder and a left back...is that asking to much or is that us done until january? realistically? I think Smith mite go late tonight, but i dont think strola will...if either or both go id hope we'd be bringin in replacements. Would love to see us throw in a 30mil bid for berbatov like and use xisco as backup if smith and/or strola do go. Realisic... Skjelbred Atouba Optimistic... Skjelbred Warnock Quality DM Dreaming... Andrew 4856
I'm not expecting anything further tbh also where has this consistent "i want skjelbred" thing come from, have we actually been linked or is it just a pipe dream?

Was it Quinn who sold him in the first place? I think he moved due to a bad split with his girlfriend at the time. My reaction was more due to the wording, as if Sunderland had beaten off big clubs to sign someone who is to all intents an average fullback. No doubt he'll improve their side. Also, yet another Irishman at Sunderland, it's beyond a joke now like

Happy Face 29
playersout > players in currently In all competions, 3 of the players that have gone made 10 or less appaearances Ramage (0), Emre (8), Carr (10). None of the other 3 managed more games than Michael always injured Owen. Rozenhal (18), Faye (22), Milner (28) If 2 of the new signings are first team regulars then we're better equipped. if 5 of them are then we're miles ahead of where we were this time last year. Happy Face 29
emre def made more than 10apps last seasonmilner managed 29 leaue apps alone let along cups rozenhal was only there half the season http://www.nufc.com/html/2007-08html/app-goals.html I know it might be a suprise to think how much better our squad is now than it was, but you can't argue with the facts. We've basically lost 2 players (Faye and Milner) who seriously pushed for a first team place, and brought in 5...so far.
