Tooj 17
I think yesterday's game highlighted away from home what a big miss he is to our team. Now I know he's not the mutts nuts he's made out to be by some people, and we all know how inconsistent he is, but just his presence can make a huge difference. For instance opposition defences won't want to push that far up the pitch as they are wary of how he can just get away from them in a blink of an eye, as well as his sense of unpredictability when he's got the ball at his feet with no support, obviously at times this is a hindrance as well. Or at times he's just an outlet for the players to hit the ball long and for him to chase it, as yesterday with Owen and Shola this clearly wasn't an option we had due to Owen not being as pacey as he was and Stroller being absolutely woeful. Fop 1
We could still do with quite a lot more pace in the team (or at least options for it).
JonGoodwyn 1
True - and also one of his possitives is hes pretty good at rounding keepers - so if he is left 1 on 1 chances are he'll score, as he should.
sandman02uk 0
Owen kept dropping out towards the byline and coming real deep to get the ball as wellshould really be banned from doing either... but yesterday it couldn't be helped to be fair, wasn't going get to see it if he hadn't And aye oba's pace really does make a difference, he is frustrating at times but least he can get the goals Lets be honest here, Owen was dropping deep because there was no service from midfield, both butt and guthrie where sitting very deep and didnt really make any penetrating runs at all Add to that we where playing with 10 men (strola your a fucking cunt and make no mistake you lazy lazy piece of shit) and we where screwed frm the word go. Martins brings us a depth we lacked yesterday in that defences wont leave him and he will run at people with speed or hold the ball up which allows the rest of the atk to move forward
