Exactly what I'm on about tbh. If Shola had gone you can practically say for certain you'd have been moaning we'd just let him go leaving us with one fit striker with PL experience.

not really i hate shola with a passion, not follow the match thread yesterday?

big lazy useless gimp i'd quite happily see smith and shola gone from the wage bill if it meant we could use it to bring someone else in (in sholas case gone no matter what)

i said he shouldn't even had started, id rather barton started in a 5man midfield and man marked fabregas the entire game..

It was more about you moaning fucking constantly. I don't know why I'm bothering like.

Apologies, couldn't give me something to not moan about?

small squad

beating a lower league team in extra time after losing a lead twice

no transfers with the window closing in 36hours

and taken apart by arsenal

your in a cheery mood are ya?

:) Doing my job for me there.

Plenty not to moan about btw.

Don't do his job for him! :)

It makes him like this: fat-cat.jpg

When for all our sakes he needs to be like this: 57978orig-main_Full.jpg

Sure i'll do an upbeat post for the sake of alex

yesterday was great! seeing shola get a walk out on the pitch for a change was nice against one of the leagues toughest opposition

sure we don't need to sort out a contract for Owen yet, he's got loads of time left!

and why bother bringing in new faces, we've so many old old faces like geremi and cacapa who can play, ya know ya can't teach an old dog new tricks :)

i hope smith gets on, i know he hasn't scored in over a year, but he's a trier and if he works really really hard i think he'll get there

did ya see the weather, were due for 7-10 days of torrential rain :) think how well the pitch will look!

You've been wanted Owen to go for ages haven't you? Unless he accepts performance-related pay etc.? So basically you wanted the club to make savings there, yet selling a keeper we don't even need is the end of the world. No one is saying yesterday was great btw. Clueless.

Ahhh man, please tell me we're not selling Krul... ffs, I get up on a Sunday morning when we're not supposed to be having any more players leaving and this comes up. I really rate Krul as well :)

the money krul is on and we'll get is pennies compared to how much owen is on and what he should be on tbh

And your right i have and always will say Owen is nowhere near worth as much as he gets hyped up about, too injury prone to get 110k+ straight wage renewed

would you honestly want him to get the same money or more that he's on now?

No, it isn't. And we probably saved/released about an extra £2m for this season straight away there by getting rid of player we don't need.

And if we want to hang onto Owen we'll have to pay him near what he's on now. I'd guess that figure you give is an exaggeration. Also, I doubt anyone thinks he's been good value but you have to measure what it would cost to get a replacement in against what you'd save for letting him go. And I think it's fair to say we've been very unlucky with his injuries. He'll always get pulls and strains but I doubt he'll get another injury like the two bad ones he's had in his time here. Apologies for calling you clueless btw.
