Scottish Mag 3
Swedish striker Henrik Larsson is considering offers from three Premier League clubs, Sky Sports News understands. Larsson returned to hometown club Helsingborgs in 2006 but his contract expires in November and he could now be set for a move back to England. Helsingborgs are understood to be ready to sell Larsson for a small fee and a number of Premier League sides are interested. Larsson enjoyed a successful loan spell with Manchester United in 2007 but the English champions are not thought to have made an approach for Larsson. Aston Villa would also appear to have other targets in mind, ruling out a reunion for Larsson with his former Celtic boss Martin O'Neill. Larsson won four titles in seven years with Celtic before helping Barcelona to UEFA Champions League glory in a two-year spell at Camp Nou. Larsson will turn 37 next month and may decide he wants to see out his career in the Premier League.

smoggeordie 0
Would be very happy with him on a 1 year deal tbh. Showed as little as just over a year ago that he can still cut it in a big league.
Deano 0
Well imo he'd be a pretty handy lad to have about the place, like others have said he cut it at man u when signed as backup and he would fit the bill here too! Will still get goals and has a football brain, a bit like teddy sheringham. Would give us another option upfront and ease the injury struggle too. JawD 99
While we are top heavy with forwards (albeit shite ones) I sadly cant see us investing in more. Not until we get rid of the likes of Smith and Shola. So, a loan signing might make sense. Though Larsson certainly has the ability, and maybe a loan would also see us past these injuries. We do need a new forward one way or another though. Owen and Viduka have awful fitness records and Martins is now out as well.

Scottish Mag 3
Helsingborgs have reacted swiftly to calm their fans' fears that Henrik Larsson will be sold before the deadline to raise funds. The Sweden legend hinted he could be sacrificed before the start of next week, instantly sparking speculation that he could emerge as a target for British clubs, including former side Celtic. However, spokesperson Sten-Inge Fredin insists the veteran attacker will stay put. "He means so much for the club and for the supporters," Fredin told TT. "His contract is until 10 January and we let his agent know a couple of days ago that we are not thinking of selling him. "Our hope is that Larsson will continue at Helsingborg even next year. "But right now, I don't think even he knows what will happen and so we must be calm and talk about the situation."
