Milner shades it from Nzogbia for me, only because they were displaying some lovely touches. Guthrie was the engine in midfield though, and was involved in a lot of stuff going forward. He could be one hell of a player if he continues that sort of form.

Milner had a good game but i'd still happily sell him for 6m+

:)

He's still in that no man's land... always class for the U21s or against Championship sides, we rarely see the Milner we saw tonight against Prem teams sadly.

Very glad for the Zog also, rather selfless and disciplined performance towards the end.

Good performance, played some excellent stuff, just let down by a couple of lapses. Shite opposition but it was nice to see us playing with pace and movement.

Thought Milner and N'Zogbia were the pick of the bunch with Milner just shading it.

Our corners were piss poor though.

I know, egg on most of our faces if he does

Exactly. A few dances round a couple of no-hopers, a few scuffed shots and a flukey cross/shot doesn't convince me.

He was superb tonight and if he can show more consistency in the Premier League we will be sorted but the potential is there and will come out,

We will see how we fare in the next round at Anfield, Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge or The Emirates :P

He's also at a disadvantage cause soemeone pays people to jump in front of all his shots.

Some really good post match comments there. Had me chuckling a few times. The Keeganator just gives me a warm feeling inside, much like SBR did when he was talking football. Long may it continue

If we can get a few more in of the same quality we've brought in it could be a vaguely pleasant season for the first time in a long while.

Just imagine someone like Collocini at the back instead of Bramble a few seasons ago, ah well. :P

And Owen showing that he's past it/crap/only plays/scores/eats fish and chips for England yet again. :)

9/11*

Better than Ronaldo :)

*His goal record, not a world trade center thing.

Great game for us, might have went to extra time but I think we played very good and deserved the win. If it was a couple of years ago then I think we may have crumbled and totally lost it but we stayed solid and kept the good passing and good play up and in the end we fully deserved it.

Collocini is looking class, calm and in control and very comfortable on the ball, but when it needs rid off he gets shot of it without any fuss, and he gets some distance and direction on his clearing headers, i'm used to toon defenders heading the ball vertically up in the air all the time!

And to save Tom posting it and get accused of being obsessed with them: The Mackems have a 19 to 20 page thrread on our match filled with bitterness and shooting their load at Coventry goals! It must be depressing when your rivals mean more to you than your own team!
