We're in talks with Arsenal over Senderos

Taylor is average - he's no world beater but he's better than Titus Bramble. Still, I hate the way he goes on with the crowd and in the Ronny Gill. He believes he's this link between the fans and the players but he's not, as shown by the contract debacle. He's a typical player.

Anyway, Senderos. A few Arsenal fans i've spoke to seem to rate him and that he'll do a job for us. I've never seen enough for him so I can't say how good he is.

He'll make a few mistakes, get jumped upon and generally turn into an Andy O'Brien level player. Just my opinion like

Tbh i think hes come on perfectly well. Look at the decent English CBs around, Carragher, King, Ferdinand, Terry, Woodgate etc. None of them are 21/22

Richards and Wheater are the stand out young English centre backs in the Premiership.

Taylor isn't anywhere near as good as either of them.

The same Wheater that got bummed off Chopra. We are too critical of our own players....imagine if Taylor did that.

Exactly, and Richards is a RB who playes for the u21s with Taylor

Why? Cos they said so on MOTD once? Dont believe the hype mate, hes canny but theres a reason hes still at Man City and still playing for the U21s. And its not cos he sends rude pics of himself to people

He's been playing for the full team man.

Richards is streets ahead of Taylor at the moment man, although I do think he's overrated as I don't think he's the best defender and right-back is definitely his best position. His pace/strength allow him to make quite a lot of recovery tackles as his anticipation is not that great and he can be erratic. Which is why I prefer him as a right-back.

i thought that was ashley young? and i think the only reason he is still at man city is because he would be priced out of a move anywhere else

Getting back to Senderos, I'd take him over Anton Ferdinand.

I'd take someone like Gabbidon of both of thise.

I just sort of said it as a throwaway comment, what Anton going to the Mackems. I'll have Senderos here at the minute though. Decent player for helping us take the next step up. If he comes I reckon him and Colloccini will be playing together as well.

I he's played most of his club career at CB. He's a bit wasted there I think although he's class in both positions, especially given his relative lack of experience and young age.

I was making the point you wouldn't say he's just a right-back because he's very comfortable there or centre-back. I like him at right-back though, for his surging runs and power. Even if he plays a lot there from now on I think he'll play cb more when he's older.

England U21: Lewis (Heaton 46), Mancienne, Richards (Cranie 73), Onuoha (Wheater 83), Andrew Taylor, Huddlestone (Muamba 61), Noble, Michael Johnson (Campbell 62), Lennon (Adam Johnson 73), Derbyshire, Milner (Kightly 46).

Subs Not Used: Gardner, Agbonlahor.

Goals: Richards 25, Milner 35

So he hasn't played for the full team then? Or is that the other Micah Richards we have?

Michael Ricketts has played for the full team, whats your point?

Your opinion doesnt count on defenders anyway after your claim that taylor was at fault for the goal against mallorca

your opinion doesnt count if you actually rate taylor

Claim? It was his man wasn't it?

I've asked you several times J69 what stand out abilities Taylor has as to why you rate him so high but you never seem to give a direct answer, as with most of these Taylor fan boys. All you either get is he is inexperienced (despite playing over 100 games for us) or that it isn't his fault he hasn't developed. It's the players around him and not his own fault.

And if you actually read what I've said about Taylor I have actually stated several times he has played well since Keegan changed the formation to a 4-3-3 last season and it's probably his best run in the team in terms of performances really since he made his real breakthrough under Souness.

The thing is though he came in and he did well in a few games there, maybe it was a bit soon. So he has shown he can play at that level (or at least he has the potential to). And I think he's better than Wes Brown, even if Brown is the safer bet at rb at present he's nowhere near as good going forward.

yawntastic, hes better than the brazilian international and french champions captain extraordinaire Cacapa. And Faye. And anyone else at the club til Colocinni turned up. No Fucker on here can actually point to more than a few occasions where hes been at fault for a goal FFS!!! Its just fashionable to pretend hes crap

Tell me, whats so hideous about him as a player?
