Whatever anyone might say about some of his films, he is currently the "biggest" star in hollywood and has been for some time. There is noone close to him in terms of guaranteed box office. This disappointing thing is 2003 Bad Boys II $273,339,556 2001 Ali $87,713,825 Some people should have their cinema going priveleges revoked
ewerk 31557
I didn't like Ali myself but I'm surprised it didn't make a lot more at the box office.
Guest alex
Men In Black's about the only film I like with him in.
Fop 1
Was I Am Legend rubbish? I've not brought myself to see it yet as thought it may go the LOTR route. Edited August 23, 2008 by Fop
Guest alex
Was I Am Legend rubbish? I've not brought myself to see it yet as thought it may go the LOTR route. Haven't seen it yet. I liked the book though. That sort of put me off seeing it. That and Will Smith.
Happy Face 29
Hugo Weaving has been in more high grossing films. http://www.the-numbers.com/people/HWEAV.php Samuel Jackson has pulled in most filthy lucre for the studios though I think... http://www.the-numbers.com/people/SLJAC.php Smith is small potatoes in comparison. Gejon 2
I might be wrong but wasn't Wild Wild West supposed to be absolutely shit and acknowledged as being absolutely shit very early on. How did it make that much?
Jimbo 175
I didn't like Ali myself but I'm surprised it didn't make a lot more at the box office. Agreed, I thought it was a real missed opportunity.

It wasn't rubbish but it's certainly not the best zombies film. 28 days later was better.
Kid Dynamite 7308
I enjoyed it, but the special effects were decidedly dodgy and I much prefered the alrernative ending
JonGoodwyn 1
I enjoyed it, but the special effects were decidedly dodgy and I much prefered the alrernative ending Yeah - the first, maybe hour of the film was good but as soon as the other people turned up it went somewhat downhill - not for that reason, but it just did. I imagine Kenny Baker has a fair amount of box office performance behind him. In relation to the wages paid/box office returns, I'm sure he is king. But Will Smith can make a shit film guarantee it's cost back + about $100 million. Neither Samuel or Hugo can do that Or Warwick Davis for that matter Edited August 23, 2008 by jonpneumonic

luckyluke 2
Samuel made some bad shit. Incredibly overrated. I think he has presence and is a talent but has diluted this by appearing in every film that he's offered, no matter how shit it is. Snakes on a Plane, that was awful, even considering the pathetically contrived manner in which they tried to make it so.
