Jimbo 175
Perhaps I'm being harsh but I thought he could have done better with their goal.
IrishMag 0
Perhaps I'm being harsh but I thought he could have done better with their goal. The cross shouldn't have made it into the box, Giggs wasn't closed down at all.

Papa Lazaru 0
I'm so pleased that Given was the player i remember from before all the injuries as last season he was a shadow of the player he can be, But today was what i expect from him, he's no.1 at this club on that form and will remain so. But Harper is very unlucky considering his form last season and as ever will provide top class cover for Given when required.
smoggeordie 0
The double save from Rooney/Scholes was quality. The first shot, fair enough, i'd expect him to save. However, his instant awareness and reaction to get up and block Scholes' follow up effort was simple World Class goalkeeping. Hopefully he can stay injury free and return to his old self. Aye his groin may go again but I don't see what wrong with the post tbh that would need bumping?

I thought he might have been past his best but he looked back to it yesterday. I hope that op has ended what has, tbf, been a persistent problem since the injury against Harewood. I just worry about it happening again.

Flair 0
Shows the fickleness of most of us (not me), I always had Given as my first choice but some on here after one game are now saying he's the Given of old, after slating him for the whole summer. Next week, the inanes will be saying his kicking is shiet and the rest of it, mark my words. Regards, Attain

Based on last season, Harper would be my first choice. Given has taken the chance though and I hope he keeps up this kind of form. If Arsenal came in with a daft money I'd still bite their hand off. The £3.5M rumoured is nowhere near enough though.

You'd have thought he would have rectified before he got into his thirties then. He's the best keeper we've had in my lifetime but his distribution is awful. And it's not minor, it's an important aspect of the modern game and has been ever since the back pass rule was changed.
