Better going forward as well. Which I think is what KK is looking for in a full-back. I think Enrique is a canny player but his lack of pace means he's never going to be 'bombing on'.

I don't think Enrique's that slow to be fair. Good to have the option between the two, one technically gifted player and one pacy direct player. It's a choice that could be made on a match by match basis depending on your oppo. I'd like to see him here.

He's not exactly a flyer though, is he? Seems reluctant to get forward on the evidence so far as well. Agree about the options.

I thought Enrique looked much better towards the end of last season. He's still a very young lad and will no doubt get better as he gets used to the Premiership.

Still, I rate Warnock and if we can get him for £2 or £3 million i'd be very happy.

Nicko says:

Warnock has NOT asked away...but he does fancy Newcastle United.

This is becoming a nightmare and explains why there were so many bids for him and all of this chatter.

So that wasn't me revving it up after all.

Didnt nicko warn us about Warnock requesting a transfer, and said that it was only bull****?

To clarify...I heard this story yesterday, checked it out and discovered he has NOT put in a request. He still has not. But he DOES want away.

Warnock obviously thinks/knows Newcastle United are still in for him and does not want to miss the chance.

This is becoming a bit troubling.

Nicko also said we'd signed Aimar :icon_lol:

there's no harm with having two decent left backs. we've got players who can do a job at right back when beye is injured so defence is looking almost there if the argie ever finally signs. just need a few midfielders and hopefully a replacement or two for shola and smith

Enrique is not slow and is fine

love the way we have been bleeding goals for ages and now we have a solid enough left back with a decent left foot on him he's being slated for not bombing forward

3m for warnock.. no thanks

Ant, you're fucking clueless tbf.

Aye your right lets sign the 27 year old and watch the promising u21 Spaniard fuck off back to spain because we've decided lobbing a winger and someone who spent the last 5years in the 1st division on ahead of him is good idea...

I think Enrique doesn't get the praise he deserves tbh, bombing forward aside

Enrique has gotten on with his job quietly, put some good crosses in and been solid enough for someone who was in a new country, new league and it was his first year

and considering the fucking state of our team last season I'm more than happy when he did get on he decided to sit back a bit more and not get caught out.

Think he'll go from strength to strength getting consistent games esp if we have someone like Coloccini at the heart of the defense.

Agree, Ricky seems to be underrated for some reason.

Forgive me for being tired and off the ball right about now but who are you talking about there?

Maybe that'll help him go forward a bit more, let's face it if you were doing left back looked across and seen cacapa would you want to be leaving him to try run after someone?

Good lad Ant, agree with most of that. Good man yerself as my Belfast optician said to me on Saturday.

I disagree that Warnock wouldn't be a good addition though, he's been quietly impressive for Blackburn, some of you might laugh but if he continues in the same vain, I think he could be an alternative to Ashley Cole for certain England games. He keeps the ball well, however I like Enrique, Keegan gave him a bit of confidence which was clearly shot from that fat Brummie boring bastard, and he flourished in a lot of games.
