Park Life 71
no chance. their reserves would hump us tbh Woah woah! I agree they'd beat us but let's not go mad, eh?
Guest Stevie
I think we can. It will be a long time till we go to Old Trafford with a better chance of winning than next week. I watched them yesterday, toothless tigers would describe them nicely. Without Rooney and Ronaldo, they are no where near as potent, James only had about 3 saves to make yesterday, and if we stick together, I think we can get a result. I might be mad, but I have a positive feeling about it. no chance. their reserves would hump us tbh Miserable cunt

To say their reserves would "hump" our strongest 11 are the words of either a) a clinically depressed man or B.) an idiot. Deano 0
Im a realistic optimist and i think we'l either pinch a 2-1 win or draw 1-1 Martins and Jonas the scorers in the winning result......... Tom 14021
I think we will probably come away with nothing but that shouldn't stop us trying. Man U have too much depth and even though a few lads are out I'm sure Ferguson will tone his squad/tactics to suit this. So It might not be a thrashing but I can't see us picking anything up. I would love to get something like.

Guest Stevie
The way I look at it is, would you rather go in to a game knowing you'll get beat and lose or would you rather go into a game thinking you can win then lose. I'll choose the second option, because at least at some point in the process you were positive.
Offshore Toon 0
Portsmouth were very tight and extremely defensive, and Man Utd weren't too attacking, either. It will be a very different game on Sunday. We'll probably lose due to a couple of defensive errors.

The Fish 11064
we can win, but form and history indicates we won't I'm hoping for a draw, but I'm expecting a battling, committed performance regardless.

acrossthepond 896
We'll get badly hammered, but anything will be an improvement on 6-0. It's an ugly feeling to have to write off your season opener, but we must look past it imo.
jaythesouthernmag 0
Depends who we have fit and available. Will Owen be fit enough to play the majority? Where is Faye? Have we got Jonas registration sorted yet? Although they look depleted we could also have a number of our most important players out. If we dont have Jonas due to registration problems then someone should get their fuckin` balls chopped off. We will need all our players to be on top of their game and our defence not to make any fuck ups plus Man U to have an average game. IF this happens we may nick it I will be chuffed with a draw, I will be pleased if we dont get humped and play well
