Park Life 71
"The 31-year-old had been linked with a move to Greece, while Roma are also interested. Major League Soccer is another option. Guest Stevie
There are a number of players who played the game at the highest level, who have been championed as different class who I for one reason or another have always thought were shite. Brian McClair is one, Totti is another, and Ljungberg is definitely one.
Park Life 71
Blackburn to sign Ghanaian midfielder Anthony Annan By Football Spy 8/08/2008 Paul Ince is ready to sign Ghanaian midfield dynamo Anthony Annan in a £1.5million deal - but is facing disappointment in his move for MK Dons skipper Keith Andrews. The new Blackburn boss has liked the look of IK Start starlet Annan on trial and will move fast to tie up a deal." Fucking hell this is a no brainer. One of the highest rated young Essien clones out there. Wise you fuckneck!!!!

Brian McClair is one, Totti is another, and Ljungberg is definitely one. Tony Adams mentioned him as one of those special players that made the difference between winning and not winning championships (or words to that effect) yet I never saw that in him myself. Good player, obviously, but just a hard grafter with a terrific engine who was, if you like a 'shape player', i.e. one who fitted into Wenger's system. Agree about Totti too and I can only assume McClair was Ferguson's bastard son.

Ljungberg had an engine second to none, but he was only ever an extremely poor mans David Platt in my eyes which isn't saying much. Having said that Platt couldn't wipe Gazza's arse in many ways but ended up with 27 England goals.

He has a problem no doubt with his big match temperament away from Serie A, same with Zlatan, that's why people don't seem to rate them as when they see them they don't really perform. sweetleftpeg 0
Last time I saw him up here he'd turned into a slow, dirty, whinging tosser who complained about anything and everything pretty much from kick off to final whistle. Anyway, wasn't he out most of last season with, and I quote offical sources, 'migranes'?
