Guest alex
David Healy Good cover imo. Would get him on the cheap etc. Better than Smith, Shola and Carroll too. Can't see us signing a top striker until next summer (Owen might be away and Viduka will be).

Guest Stevie
07 August 2008By Miles Starforth Newcastle United writer NEWCASTLE United's Alan Smith was today having a medical with Everton, according to reports on Merseyside. The striker was left out of the Newcastle side for last night's friendly against PSV Eindhoven, fuelling talk of an imminent £3m switch to Goodison Park. Manager Kevin Keegan said after the 2-2 draw that the 27-year-old – whose only goal for United came just over a year ago in a pre-season friendly against Sampdoria – had been sidelined with a "sore ankle". Everton boss David Moyes had been beaten to Smith's signature by Keegan's predecessor Sam Allardyce last summer, with Newcastle paying Manchester United £6m for his services. However, Smith is among the higher earners at St James's Park, and there is pressure on Keegan to reduce the wage bill and fund rebuilding plans. Please let the reports on Merseyside be true. I'll even be civil to Danny B and Torres for exactly 24 hours if this is true.

jaythesouthernmag 0
Seems a bit of an odd choice. He`s pretty average at best and doesnt offer anything above Owen/Oba and certainly cant hold the ball up on his own. Bollox I reckon, hope so anyway If Everton want Smith we should get Baines as part of the deal
Ketsbaia 0
Anal Oliver is linking us with Healy, therefore it's safe to assume it's bollocks.

Kid Dynamite 7318
PS. Why the fuck arent we in for Bullard. Our midfield is shitter than ever, Fulham have told him hes not getting a good contract, and would probably be cheaper then Healy!!!

Great engine, good a set pieces and spot on attitude too. I would like to see him at SJP with Faye in c.m. unless KK has an ace up his sleeve, wont get carried away with that tho`
