Fair enough but even without working out a weighted average attendance % for you lot, the figure is useless due to the finite capacity of both grounds.

Do I think we are any better than any other set of fans? Apart from the obvious offenders (Fulham / Bolton) no.

If you don't see the problem with this statement, the point is lost on you.

Fulham, Bolton, Blackburn, Boro' all have shit fans imo. I think Liverpool have vocal (if annoying and cliché-ridden), some Man U fans (certainly their away support) is top notch.

To be fair to blackburn their the fans they have are fine they just don't have many which is what comes from being a small club with a small ground in a small town

I'd agree with that if it was simply the number, but they're silent home and away (except that twatting drummer). Plus they're just not as knowledgeable as many fans of other clubs. They're like American Marines, they turn up banging their drum, spend the rest of the time their complaining because they don't know why they're there and then slope off home depleted in numbers and motivation for the next time ti kicks off

tbf to blackburns fans again a large proportion of their fans aren't their fans, just people going to ewood to watch whoever is visiting because its cheap as hell, I've done it loads of times

My god are you stupid, our ground is 36K, even if we had all the demand in the world we couldnt beat you on that score.

Exactly, there isn't the demand.

If there was a demand Spurs would expand/move....like every top club has.

36,000 is about right for your mediocre club.

Eh? How's that work? If your average attendance is at 92%, it means you don't fill your ground. Size of the ground doesn't matter does it as even if it was bigger, you wouldn't fill it (that's what the 92% tells me)

The capacity of our ground was 36,000 for 7 out of 15 seasons, you fucking jesters hat wearing Soccer AM watching, SKY, Rupert Murdoch championing w.

At least get your own mud to sling Stevie, you know the jester hats and foam fingers is my little jibe.

There is such a gulf between the two it's a retarded arguement.

Because there are times that we could have filled our ground twice over for big games, NLD normally sells out in hours. That of course would push our avverage attendance up, I am sure the same would apply to you.

As I say, those figures are useless.

Totally agree. The problem is until we rubber stamp a decision to move or expand the Lane, the argument is pointless.

It seems more than a few have been sucked in by the sky mantra.

2nd and 11th.

and you can't tell the difference?

dz9pw0.jpg

A. You have a bigger stadium, of course your average attendance is better

B. That makes us 92% full on average vs your 85% full.

C. If you are going to pull stats, make sure they benefit your argument.

:(

I know Flintoff's already pointed out, in between a quality bowling spell at The Oval, that this statement is crap. Surely this underlines how shit Danny's argument is, that he totally discounted that our stadium capacity was 36k for about half our season's in the premiership.

Or it would be if that were the case.

They could only draw 26K for a premier league game against Man U.

And that's not the 80's when all attendances were down, it was at the peak of the premier league resurgence in '97.

To be honest I had no idea the duration of what those stats was. Seeing as there is no date on them.

I do remember the old Sid James' though. It was a lot more...symmetrical

You couldn't fill it till 2004 though. As I've said a few times I remember my first trip to WHL, what a fucking shithole round there is by the way, evil looking blacks everywhere, you could be in Kingston without the nice whether, and the game before we played there was on PL game on a Wednesday night against Villa, crowd 17,000. On the Saturday a big club turn up i.e us, with 7,000 in the Park End and the crowd jumps to 30,000. I've always thought of Tottenham as a mickey mouse non-entity club from that moment, which was on my 16th birthday, and I always will. You could put an argument up that Liverpool fans are comparable to our own, you could put an argument up that Man Utd's away support is as good as ours, but fucking Tottenham?!?!?!/!?!?!?!?!?! It's not even funny, it's that pathetic.

Why would I make that up you nonce? We had the whole Park End, including the bit beside the Shelf because I was right beside it near the corner flag, Beardsley scored a last minute winner beating half your team.
