Guest alex
Taylor MOTM... dont tell 2J Sponsors MOM OMG!! I'm also glad you appeared to ignore the entire Mallorca match thread after his atrocious defending for their goal. Didnt see it, I was at work. I never claimed he was Bobby Moore. Just better than the rest of the CBs at the club. Which he proved again tonight.
Kid Dynamite 7169
The sponsor's MOTM is just picked by the people at the sponsor's table. Based on who they'd most like to meet rather than who has played the best. Id hate to think what people would feel about Taylor if he actually did something wrong! Trying hard, playing well and behaving yourself off the pitch are traits we could do with more of in our players. Id rather have XI Taylors than any Sholas, Smiths, Bartons, Geremis, Duffs etc. And hes probably paid less than any of them.

Happy Face 29
BFITW? "Best fans In The World." © Sky Sports and The Premier League - Football didn't exist before we did No-one's claimed we have the best fans in the world. It's a claim you've projected onto us and then denigrated us for. I responded to your attempted wummery to show that although not necessarily the best in the world (which would be a pathetic claim from any set of fans), we're certainly no worse than Spurs and after 5 hours considering a response you've decided to ignore the point I made completely and just repeat yourself. Case closed I think.

I'll have to take your word on that but hey at least we are going to have 30K vs Roma. Double your attendance at double the price. By my reckoning that makes us 4 times better than the "Toon Army"

Yet so many of you buy into it. (Well Stevie does anyway.) Some do. Morons at every club though. It does get to people that they know they wouldn't get the levels of support we'd get if they'd been through what we've been through. And that's through our history, not just now. People often point to low gates of ours and so on (and we've had them) but the mitigating factors are normally pretty strong - normally set against a backdrop of poor results on the field and low attendances in English Football across the board. Feel free to pull me up on that if you disagree.

I just get sick and tired of the legendary Toon fans that are no better or no worse than any other set. TBH, the most vocal travelling support we get are Man Utd. Case closed I think. There has never been a bigger understatement uttered in life. I remember when we came up, our first game was against Tottenham, it was the main game on MOTD, Hansen said he'd played in Scotland, in World Cup's, at Anfield and there was crowd like the toon fans. His exact words were "If trophies were given out for support, they'd win the Premiership, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and the boat race" and of course he was right. However, our support isn't as good in quality as it was then, but quite clearly still the best in this country. The sentiments shown by Hansen there, hgave been reciprocated a million times, but football people over the last 40 years, and I think it's where the jealousy towards us has always stemmed from, because these mickey mouse clubs know they can never match us in that aspect. Getting back to Tottenham, I'm not winding this lad up, their support has always been shit. I had a lot of respect for Chelsea away in the 80s and 90s, they used to take thousands away, the only time Spurs have ever brung more than 2500 here was when they put free busses on for them in that Cup GAME in 2005. Alex we have found one, well and truelly brought into the myth. The Lane rocked for 90 mins in the 5-1 against the scum, we regularly take 6K on European jaunts. Do I think we are any better than any other set of fans? Apart from the obvious offenders (Fulham / Bolton) no. Are we any worse than the Geordies, hell no.
