Guest alex
That's a ltd edition but the normal Jura one is very nice stuff so that should be a lovely drop.
ChezGiven 0
You tried The Macallan Sammy? Bit like Aberlour but nicer imo. I had a 30 year old Macallan in 50 over the summer (aye, that place) and it cost 100 quid for a measure. I wasnt paying like.

Guest Stevie
I drink a lot of whisky, and while I wouldn't say I'm a connosieur I know a good un when I see one. Blended ones are all shit, all of em, Jack Daniels is vile, Southern Comfort not bad, but nearly all of the blended ones are minging, hate them. Anything like Whyte & McKay, Bells, The Famous Grouse etc... oh dear I really only like single malt whisky's, and I think the best alcoholic drink you can get be by a mile even though it's very well known is... I've seen off a bottle in a night before and not had a hangover the next day. Lovely stuff. Our local asian shopkeeper does it for £18 a bottle when it's £27 most places, it's worth the extra money than for a shitey blended one. Glenfiddich isn't bad neither. catmag 337
Today's brought a bit of bad news, actually the world is fucked and life is a cunt, so I'm pouring myself my third Glenlivet this afternoon and I have to say there is nothing like a 10 year old Aberlour. Got a preference? Never mind the whisky - you okay?

There's never any new threads in the Football section, you could post something from the end of 2004 and it would be pretty much as relevant today. It's just a continuous discussion of the current crisis.

Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Of the widely available stuff, probably The Macallan. Those two are very nice too though. Alex, I'm looking for a Christmas present for my Dad. He likes The Macallan, Highland Park, Oban and Laphroaig. Can you recommend anything? I'm interested by this Welsh whisky as something different. Have you tried The Black Rory? It's a Northumbrian Blend, but very good. Sold at Tynemouth market, and at Northumbrian Gifts on t'interweb. Try the Balvenie 12 yr old Doublewood too.lovely Edited December 11, 2008 by Monkeys Fist
