Yeah I know (although I still maintain make up, especially as much as was routinely worn in those days, hides a lot of sins ), the big downside was always the voice, not too bad with some, but with a lot of them, especially when they were drinking, was a bit like listening to a gaggle of excited of 's whose voices hadn't broken.
