Jimbo 175
Spurs are in talks with Blackburn over a fee for Bentley according to the Beeb. Rovers and Spurs in Bentley talks Blackburn Rovers have confirmed they are in negotiations with Tottenham over the possible sale of David Bentley. But chairman John Williams has told BBC Radio Lancashire the club have yet to accept a bid for the England winger. Bentley, 23, has made no secret of his desire to quit Ewood Park despite only signing a contract extension in 2007. Blackburn have already rejected bids from Tottenham and Aston Villa for Bentley who is expected to cost buying clubs in the region of £17m. Spurs will be looking to strengthen their attack after the sale of influential striker Robbie Keane to Liverpool - a move which could see the club receive a total of £20.3m in transfer fees. Guest alex
I would have liked to have seen Bentley here but I don't think we're in a position to attract him at present. Were he to go though. I wonder if it would be worth having a go at getting Arshavin as other club's interests seem to have cooled a bit and I'd be surprised if Spurs would still be in for him (assuming they ever were).
