They should show you what happens to Newcastle in the aftermath of Judgement Day.

You know what's interesting from 1984 and 1991's films compared to this one, all of the shots of the future are of a permanently black sky, indicating that it's the result of a nuclear winter and it's permanently dark. This seems to show the modern understanding of what a nuclear winter would be like, i.e. no where near as bad as was once feared. It would be fucking cold for quite a while, but within five to ten years it's quite possible even with an all out armageddon, that it wouldn't last more than a decade.

I think its just indicating its night time tbh. The flashbacks wouldnt be quite so scary if the reisitance was being chased on a nice sunny day.

You not thinking of Aliens where Newt turns to Ripley and said something like "We best be getting inside as they mostly come at night...mostly" ?

McG confirmed that he's remaining true to the mythology set up in the first two James Cameron movies, but can't possibly include things introduced during Fox's series "The Sarah Connor Chronicles." "Hats off to the third movie, but we paid attention to the first two pictures, and I'm buddies with Josh and everybody who runs 'Sarah Connor Chronicles' but from my experience in one-hour episodic television, those guys are in the writers' room banging out stories left, right and center, and for us to chase those story threads, I think, would be a disservice to our picture. We honor Judgment Day timing, we honor the 2029, we honor the coming of the T-800."

Just watched this.

the 1st two thirds of the film were pretty boring tbh.

the final third was pretty good - set at skynet hq and you see arnie on the terminator production line

Bale also says 'I'll be back' at one point.

Thought it was decent if it was a standalone film, however obviously I couldn't help but compare it to the brilliant first two films. And in that respect it didn't feel like a Terminator film at all. A bit too predictable as well for my liking.

Some nice effects though, especially loved the T600s.

DVD Screener btw.

Not a patch on the big screen version mate.

Was alright.

Avatar in Dec is one I am looking forward to.

The screener is just the DDC copy that was out a fornight ago.

I was just mentioning it as I know Fish was looking for a one that was watchable and that was. Although shame about the film overall, hopefully it is just building up to the final two.

Aye worth watching it at the cinema IFO.

Was pretty good, considering how tied up everything already is realistically (a better job than the prequel Star War - yes, yes Alex it's not (exactly) a prequel, but the basic story is pretty well cast).
