The Magpies agreed a fee with the Reds earlier on Friday and were given permission to speak with the 21-year-old midfielder. I'm fine with the signing, even the most obstinate must see that we need to fill out the squad, but he's never worth 3.5mil unless he's got loads of untapped potential we haven't seen.
