I think one can empathise with the police and the pressure they were under at the time. They've let themselves down badly with all the lies and covering up about what happened though.

That's about as close to an unlawful killing verdict as they were allowed to give then.

They can make a disco hit out of it for all I care, these judgments mean fuck all. A veneer is all. THe war is on all levels.

The terrorists are the real people to blame for what happened mind.

Mi6?

No, this was a direct result of the 7/7 bombers. I'm not saying that exonerates the police of responsibility by any means however.

Aye, I don't think you can really blame the people that actually shot him, criminally at least (whether they should remain in the same jobs though ;)), even though they could/should have done things better/properly.

The real issue is the blatant cover up that rolled almost immediately into place (and still rolled on in this enquiry) and that NO ONE at any level has taken any real proportion of blame at all.

It's been a master-class in the art of disappearing responsibility and not my fault-ism.

Which is just plain repellent, and of course means that it's likely that in a similar situation the same mistakes might well be make again.

They let him get to the tube station and then they shot him.

Anyone see question time where they started saying it's the terrorists to blame for the Stanstead palava during the week.

Boiled my piss.

Given that it's already illegal to protest within a mile of the houses of parliment, now they're trying to stop other means of protest on the grounds of a terrorist threat.

How come mainland Britain went 30 years under terrorist attacks without an effect on liberty?

I've no doubt whatsoever the Conservatives would be towing the same line if they were in power when "nine eleven changed everything".

That's why I put it in quotes, see. It was other people that said it.

I would say it did or I would say it didn't? You're contradicting yourself in your desparation for attention.

I'm happpy to waste a Friday afternoon debating with you, if you have a coherent point of view. Otherwise I'll just go back to ignoring your weak 'jokes'.

How many threads does it take to ruin a forum?

It's funny but they really don't like it up them, do they? ;)

Do make yourself a little trophy for every time you "win"?

No I just have a little smile for every time someone gets annoyed over something everyone else (or Happy, Chezzy & Manc-Foplite and others anyway) does. :aye:

That's the beauty of Christian Neo-Con beliefs, they don't have to make any sense, so I guess that's your attraction.
